2023 - A VERY BIG YEAR FOR KENNEL SALES
We are delighted to announce that 2023 marks the 38th year of trading for Kennel Sales. Peter Reed started the business on 11th February 1985, moving to our current home of Ladybird Kennels & Cattery in 1997, and has experienced the various peaks and troughs of the property market in the intervening years, alongside expanding and modernising the boarding kennels and cattery.
Final Sale of 2019
The last sale of the year was Mayfield Kennels & Cattery in Fife, amid beautiful Scottish countryside. The new owners have moved from overseas so are looking forward to enjoying a new and exciting lifestyle in entirely different surroundings. We wish them all the best!
Nottinghamshire Sale
In April we were delighted to complete the sale on Sibthorpe Boarding Kennels in rural Nottinghamshire. The business offers plenty of potential for expansion and the new owners are thrilled to be settling in and making plans for the future.
Welsh Wonder!
May saw our latest sale go through - Woofers Paradise, a long established boarding business in rural Wales. The vendor is looking forward to a well deserved retirement and the new owner is excited to take the business forward into a bright future.

We were delighted to put together the sale of this beautiful, 200 year old property in April 2019. The new owners are keen to put their own stamp on this large and thriving business and are looking forward to a long and busy summer.
Sunny August Sale!
During the scorching weather of August, we were pleased to complete the sale on Cats Whiskers Boarding Cattery, a thriving business in Herefordshire. The new owners are delighted to start their new lives in the countryside under such sunny skies.
September Sale
Our vendor was delighted that, after only a short time on the market, we tied up the sale of her property, Morningside Kennelsin Lancashire. She is thrilled to be moving on to fresh adventures and our purchaser is excited to be taking over the business and making her own mark on it. We wish them both well for the future.
Two Exchanges in One Day!
We were delighted to receive news that two of our ongoing sales exchanged contracts on the same day. The owners of Coedely Boarding Kennels, a long established boarding kennels in Mid Glamorgan, Wales, and Fingland Boarding Kennels, a beautiful barn conversion with a thriving kennels business in Cumbria, are looking forward to their respective new ventures.

Continuing the busier trend of the year so far, we've had another completion this month:
Rushden Boarding Kennels & Cattery, Northamptonshire, a 3-4 bedroom bungalow with prominent main road frontage and a thriving business. We were pleased to assist the vendor and the new purchasers are delighted to put their own stamp on the business.
April Sales
We saw the completion of two more sales in April:
Country House Kennels & Cattery, Bedfordshire, a large detached residence with a well established and successful boarding business. The property is in an ideal position to capitalise on the surrounding catchment area and the new owners are excited to take the business forward.
Bewdley Boarding Kennels, Worcestershire, a beautiful, deceptively spacious cottage, is set in a quiet rural location yet has an extremely profitable business which the purchasers are looking forward to expanding further.
Two Completions in One Week!
2018 got off to a flying start with two sales completing in one week.
Chalkwell Kennels & Cattery, Northamptonshire was first through the gate. A very large and well run business, the sale completed after a lengthy legal conveyance, finally allowing the vendors the relaxing retirement they had been looking forward to.
Benwick Kennels, Sussex was next. After another fairly drawn out transaction, the vendor is anticipating a well earned rest, and the new owners are pleased and excitied to be starting a new chapter in their lives.

2016 Summary
2016 turned out to be a slightly busier year than 2015, but prices remained relatively disappointing and business was slower than we would have liked. The properties sold in 2016 came from all parts of the country and at varying prices, from £1,100,000 in Surrey to £435,000 in Yorkshire, and our current list of available properties demonstrates how widespread the market is, in terms of both price and location. A combination of Brexit fears and lack of lending kept the market quiet last year, but we are hoping to emerge from the gloom in 2017!
First Completion of 2016
We were delighted to assist in the sale of this beautifully renovated property, set in the gorgeous Cornish countryside. Brookfield Kennels & Cattery has an excellent local reputation and thriving trade, and we wish the new owners every success in continuing and expanding the business.
Last Completion of 2015
We were delighted to complete the sale of Westra Kennels in Glamorgan just before Christmas. It's a busy time for kennels but the new owners were pleased to get in and start putting their own mark on the business. We wish them every success in the future.
Character Property in Leicestershire Sold
Old Station Kennels offers a growing boarding business as well as the atmospheric former station building, built in 1883, which now forms the residence. We wish the new owners every success in their new venture.
Second Sale in Mid August
The second of the sales in one week was Willow Tree Country Kennels in Yorkshire. The vendors of Cosy Toes Kennels and Willow Tree were both delighted to be able to leave the hard work of the busy summer season to the incoming purchasers, who in turn were pleased that there was still plenty of business to come. A definite Win/Win situation!
Two Sales Complete in One Week!
We were delighted to bring two sales to successful conclusion during the middle week of August. The first was Cosy Toes Kennels in Herefordshire.
Growing Business In A Beautiful Rural Location
The sale of Trelawn Boarding Kennels has now gone through. We were pleased to be able to get the completion through in time for the rush of the summer season, and the new owners are hoping to get settled in quickly to begin their busy new life!
Fantastic Business Opportunity
We were delighted to sell Moat Farm to a couple who want to create a new kennel business. The property offers plenty of scope and potential for expansion with the benefit of existing good quality kennels. We wish them every success with their new venture.
Final Sale of the Year
In mid December 2014 our final sale of the year, Creusa Kennels in Cornwall, completed just in time for Christmas.
